12th Grade Statistics
This class introduces the process of analyzing different forms of data and making useful conclusions and predictions from that data. This is done by understanding graphs, charts, probability, variability, randomness and other topics. Students will also learn skills to collect, display and communicate their own data. The study of this class will prepare students for college level courses which require statistical analysis. This course introduces topics that are covered in college fields such as nursing, finance, business, pre-med, biology and more. Topics covered include vocabulary related to descriptive and inferential statistics, probability, discrete and normal probability distributions, using the t-table and chi-squared-table, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, correlation, regression and non-parametric tests.
