A.P. U.S. History

A.P. U.S. History is a college-level course taught in high school to students who desire a challenge. The course is designed to teach historical thinking skills based upon the AP curriculum framework. This course seeks to prepare students for the Advanced Placement United States History Exam. The study of this class will prepare students to think both critically and analytically, and will improve their reading skills. Students will interact with primary and secondary American history sources and improve their historical thinking skills. Students will develop a better understanding of chronology, cause and effect, and change over time. Topics covered include an overview of all United States History from the Pre-Columbian Era to the present.
