Unity in Community

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Genesis 1:27

Introduction

At CAC, our mission is to partner with parents to provide a distinctively Christian education—one that shapes both the heart and mind. As part of that mission, we believe in cultivating a Christ-centered community marked by unity, love, and mutual respect. This resource page is designed to help students and parents engage in intentional dialogue, navigate challenging conversations with grace, and promote unity even when perspectives differ. Rooted in biblical principles, these tools and guides aim to equip our families to reflect Christ in every interaction, fostering a school culture where truth and love grow together.

Parent Unity Committee

As part of our ongoing commitment to fostering a Christ-centered community marked by unity, understanding, and mutual respect, CAC has formed a Parent Unity Committee composed of families representing all campuses and grade levels. This committee engages in thoughtful, grace-filled dialogue with school administration on matters related to race, equality, diversity, school culture, and other areas that impact the life of our community. Rooted in our shared mission, the committee serves as a space for listening, learning, and partnering together to reflect the heart of Christ more fully in all we do. If you are interested in providing feedback or exploring the possibility of joining the committee, we invite you to contact the school administration.

Resources

At CAC, we are committed to nurturing a Christ-centered community where unity, compassion, and understanding thrive. This resource section is designed to support parents and students as they explore topics related to community, relationships, racial conversations, applying perspective, and the importance of engaging in challenging conversations. When approached with humility, grace, and a biblical perspective, these moments become opportunities for growth, connection, and more profound unity. Here, you’ll find tools and guidance to help navigate difficult dialogues in a way that reflects Christ’s love and strengthens our shared commitment to a united school community.

As a pre-emptive measure, the resource section is just a beginning; it is not exhaustive and, most importantly, does not cover every perennial issue; however, it serves as a starting point, one we will continue to refine. Additionally, CAC does not necessarily endorse or adopt every word and sentiment expressed in these resources; however, they are solid resources that offer perspective and promote positive dialogue. Similar to when we discuss Bible stories in classes and chapel, there are moments of differing viewpoints and interpretations, even when two individuals are examining the exact text. Differing thoughts and perspectives are welcomed; the goal is not necessarily to agree but to recognize areas of growth, potential blind spots, and address them in a positive, Christ-like manner.

Upcoming Formation of Student Unity Committee

As the Fall semester approaches, we are excited to announce the formation of CAC’s Student Unity Committee, a student-led initiative dedicated to promoting unity across our campus community. Rooted in our mission to provide a distinctively Christian education, this committee will create space for meaningful conversations around topics such as race, identity, and differing perspectives—always approached through the lens of Christ’s love and truth. The goal is to foster deeper understanding, build authentic relationships, and strengthen a culture where every student feels seen, heard, and valued. Through events, dialogue, and collaborative efforts, the Student Unity Committee seeks to unify our student body while upholding the biblical call to love one another.
