CAC Announces Valedictorian and Salutatorians
Central Arkansas Christian recently announced the Class of 2015 valedictorian and salutatorians.
CAC’s valedictorian, with a 4.33 GPA, is Kathleen McClanahan. McClanahan is the daughter of Robert and Michelle McClanahan of Maumelle. McClanahan is a National Merit Scholarship recipient, the Vice President of the National Honor Society, Vice President of the Beta Club and Vice President of the drama club. She is also a member of Mu Alpha Theta.
McClanahan plans to attend the University of Arkansas this fall where she will major in chemistry. She has been selected as an Arkansas Governors Distinguished Scholar and awarded a University of Arkansas Honors College Fellowship.
CAC is privileged to announce two salutatorians of the class of 2015. With 4.29 GPA’s, the salutatorians are Connor Mahoney and Lauren Weaver.
Mahoney is the son of Dan and Lee Mahoney of Maumelle. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club and Mu Alpha Theta, and plays for the Mustang soccer team.
This fall, Mahoney plans to attend the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and major in mechanical engineering. He is a Rose-Hulman Merit Scholar and a recipient of an Air Force ROTC scholarship.
Weaver is the daughter of Stephen and Shana Weaver of Jacksonville. She is National Merit Scholarship recipient, a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club and Mu Alpha Theta. During her time at CAC, Weaver swam, ran cross-country and ran track. She plans to attend Texas A&M University this fall and major in nutrition.
