CAC Announces Final Giving Day Update
CAC Community,
Thanks to you and your belief in what we are doing at CAC, yesterday was a homerun for our current and future Mustangs.
We asked, and you responded in a major way. In fact, so many of you wanted to give, that we have had a number of donations and pledges through this morning through online giving, in-person donations and pledges over the phone. The donations received this morning will count towards our total. And that is only the start of our great news!
On our Giving Day, we have received a total of $217,460. In addition, we earned $39,242 in new pledges, for a total of $256,702 received or pledged. Remember, our Giving Day dollar-for-dollar match challenge was $250,000. Our donor has agreed to match the full total received or pledged, which means we earned a total of $513,404 on our Giving Day!
That’s still not all. We also had two participation challenges for our Giving Day. Our faculty was challenged to give at 75 percent. As of this morning, just over 80 percent of our faculty and staff have given, which means we will receive $50,000 for faculty participation. This is a milestone for CAC, as this is the highest participation we have had in years by our faculty family. However, because the faculty and staff exceeded their challenge, we will also receive a $1,000 additional bonus for each percentage point over the challenge. This means our faculty earned a $55,000 bonus donation for our school!
Finally, our families were challenged to donate at 75 percent, which would have secured a $100,000 incentive. Though we fell short of that 75-percent goal, our donor has agreed to match our families, 61 percent of whom gave or pledged during yesterday’s Giving Day. This means that our families, who at 61 percent participation smashed our previous participation records, have gained an additional $61,000 for our school!
If we’re throwing out too much math for a Friday, let’s get quickly to the final figure. The grand total received, pledged and matched on Giving Day 2023 is:
629,404!!!
We cannot thank all of you enough for coming together to rally around our school. It is such a privilege to be part of a community that is inspired to take up the cause of Christian education from those who helped pave the way. Together, we will ensure that CAC, and the families it touches, will continue to be a beacon of faith for our region and beyond.
