MARCH 27, 2020
Elementary Campus Parents and Guardians,
Beginning Monday, March 30, CAC will implement an Extended Remote Learning Strategy. We are looking forward to utilizing an online approach that will allow for more interaction between teachers and students.
We realize this process is new for you and your child. It’s new for us too. We are here for you! If you have a question or need help with anything at all, do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher or campus principal. Even though we can’t be together at our campus, we look forward to being together online!
Below we have included very important information regarding Extended Remote Learning. Please read it thoroughly and carefully.
We love you!
Jamie Custer, PV Principal
Judy Posey, NLR Principal
What does online learning look like for an elementary student?
All teachers will utilize Google Classroom for online learning. Below are steps you can take to help familiarize yourself with the Google Classroom basics. There is no need for parents or students to begin work or ask questions this weekend – everyone will receive an email from their teacher on Monday morning with instructions for their classroom.
- Step 1: Sign In To Google Each student has been given a Google account. CLICK HERE to learn how to sign in to Google using a CAC student account. Student login information will be sent out on the morning of Monday, March 30. Look for an email from your campus office that will include your student’s Google username and password.
- Step 2: Find Google Classroom CAC teachers will be utilizing Google Classroom as their online learning platform. Karen Sullivan has manually added all students to their teacher’s Google Classroom. CLICK HERE to learn how to log into Google Classroom.
- Step 3: Navigating Google Classroom CLICK HERE to learn how to find classwork. Remember: Click the CLASSWORK tab once you have entered Google Classroom.

Can my child see their teacher and classmates online?
Yes! The hardest part of all of this is not being together, so we are making sure everyone is able to connect online. Periodically, teachers will send out Google Meet invitations to small groups of students so they can talk with teachers and fellow classmates. In the coming weeks, teachers will also be utilizing Google Meet to assess and tutor small groups of students. More information on that to come later.

How do students/parents know what to expect each day?
Each Monday by 8:00 a.m. teachers will send out a Monday Memo to parents via RenWeb. The Monday Memo will include instructions for the work students are to complete that week. You will find the work in Google Classroom by its label or by the date assigned.
Does my child need to be on the computer at a specific time?
No, we recognize that many parents are working at home during this time. We want you to be able to do schoolwork at a time that is convenient for your family.
What if my child’s login information is not working or I have a technical issue?
Email Karen Sullivan, CAC’s Technology Coordinator, at ksullivan@cacmustangs.org. She will be happy to assist you!
What if we have a question about assigned classwork?
Email your child’s teacher. We know online learning is a new experience for our elementary parents and students and we are here to help. There is no need to stress. We will support you and give you the time you need to both figure out the technology and complete the assignment.
Looking Forward!
We don’t want to be apart, but I am confident in our CAC family. Let’s stay positive. Let’s give our students all we’ve got while extending the grace necessary to support them (and ourselves) during this unprecedented time in our nation’s history.
If you have a question, please reach out to us directly. Let’s let all social media posts for CAC be ones that lift our faculty and students up. Please know that the CAC administration is praying for your physical health, spiritual health, and emotional wellbeing.
