CAC New Student Information
Welcome to Mustang Mountain! We are thrilled to have you join the CAC community this year!
And welcome back to our returning students. We cannot wait to see you on the Mountain!
At the core of our school’s mission is the aspiration to equip and empower graduates who will utilize their unique gifts and talents to spread light and joy in the world. This year’s theme, taken from Psalm 34:3 – ‘Magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together!’ perfectly aligns with our mission. It underscores the significance of partnering with our families to nurture our students’ spiritual growth alongside providing them with a comprehensive academic education. Our aim is to educate graduates who will emerge as servant leaders, firmly grounded in their faith and dedicated to making a positive impact on the world around them.
Below you will find some information that we hope will help you navigate the new school year.

Drop-off and Pick-up
The Atrium inside the high school will open at 7:15 a.m. each day. Locker and classroom areas will open at 7:30 a.m. Students who do not have a first period class should arrive on campus by 8:40 a.m. Second period begins at 8:50.
- Traffic should stay in the right lane.
- All traffic should drop down to the lower parking lot and drive up the hill before dropping students off anywhere on the concrete pavement.
- Once traffic reaches the top of the hill outside of the Science Wing, we will separate traffic into two lanes for drop-off. Multiple faculty members will be available to walk parents through the traffic flow throughout the first week.
- All students will enter via the Atrium doors.
- The same traffic flow will occur for pick-up after school.
Dismissal
All students in grades 6 – 12 must exit the building through the Atrium. Students not participating in extracurricular activities or enrolled in After-School Care should be picked up by 4 p.m. If a student’s ride does not arrive by 4 p.m., extended care policies and pricing will apply.
School Day Check-in/Check-Out Procedures
The doors will lock at 8 a.m. each morning. If a student arrives after this point they will be required to check in at the main office through the buzzer system. Check-in procedures will be outlined in the handbook.
Check-In
Students who need to check in (or arrive late to the first period of the day) must buzz in at the atrium doors and check in with the office.
Check-Out
Parents and guardians have two options to check out their student. Parents may call the front office from the parking lot or buzz at the atrium doors. Students must sign out in the office before meeting their parent/guardian outside. The front office must receive email or phone confirmation prior to the student leaving campus. If a student leaves campus without checking out through the office, they will be considered truant and will receive disciplinary action for skipping class.
Student Parking and Parking Passes
Student drivers may park in any parking spot in the upper lot that has been designated with a number or in the lower parking lot for the first week of school. After the second week of school, student vehicles must have a Parking Pass. Parking Passes will be sold the second week of school for $5.00.
