Navigating the Emotional World of Kids

This workshop will focus on understanding the emotional development of young children, the elements of emotion and how they process feelings. We will also explore temperament as a foundation for understanding emotion and our calling to be good stewards of children’s emotional and spiritual well-being. Parents and educators will also be introduced to the concept of reading between the lines as a means of understanding emotion in a child’s behavior. The seminar will end with practical ideas for furthering a child’s emotional development.

New Life Church will host “Being a purposeful parent” on Monday, Aug. 15 at 6:30 p.m. at 8000 Crystal Hill Road in North Little Rock. Learn more about the session below.

Being a Purposeful Parent

Parenting is one of the most important callings of our lives. We step into this life-changing process without a road map or an instruction manual. This class centers around three basic concepts for being an intentional parent. We’ll discuss the purpose of parenting, the significance of our contribution, and some foundational ingredients our kids need from us. This time will also invite you to consider some important questions your kids need you to ask.

You will leave with three questions to answer on behalf of your kids, as well as instructions on some great experiential activities to do with your family. This class is designed for parents of kids from pre-school to college who want to take a more intentional, purposeful journey.
