Meet the Head Writer

Haylee Newman will be acting as CAC’s first official Pony Press head writer. She is in charge of writing all stories and captions, as well as conducting interviews (except this one because that would be a little awkward). Haylee is excited to use her role to get to know students and faculty members that she would not otherwise come in contact with. Above all, Haylee is eager to see how the Press will evolve over time, and is proud to be a part of its founding. 

Her future plans include achieving an undergraduate degree in political science and pre-law from Abilene Christian University, graduating from law school, and establishing a career as a prosecutor or criminal defense attorney. In other interesting information, Haylee fished competitively for most of her life and even won fourth place in the state of Arkansas for youth fishing. On top of this, she can play five instruments. 

Haylee is an incredibly gifted writer, and we are proud to call her part of our staff.
