CAC, Simmons Bank announce multi-year athletic partnership
If you’ve been by Mustang Mountain at all this summer, you have probably seen all of the construction taking place around campus. Behind the scenes, school officials have been working hard to make the dreams of the GameOn! Athletic Campaign a reality. As part of our commitment to improving our athletic facilities for our students, we are excited to announce a new multi-year athletic partnership agreement with Simmons Bank to become the school’s official athletic partner!
“We are thrilled to partner with Simmons Bank, which is known as an industry leader and strong supporter of high school athletics in our community,” CAC Athletic Director Hayden Cruce said. “Simmons Bank and CAC Athletics share a passion for building relationships within their communities and a commitment to excellence.
“This aligns with our mission to partner with parents and inspire excellence in our students. This partnership will help elevate CAC student-athletes and solidify the future of Mustang Athletics.”
As part of its GameOn! Athletic Campaign, CAC has announced improvements to its athletic venues. CAC’s football/soccer stadium, formerly Mustang Stadium, will be renamed Simmons Bank Stadium. This name change is reflected on the new scoreboard, which was installed late last month.
The new scoreboard, which measures 608-square feet, will light up our Friday Nights in the fall and our soccer games in the spring. The scoreboard will allow for exciting in-game features, including instant replay of game action. It will also offer an opportunity to highlight community partnerships and local sponsors. Scoreboard features will be run by students interested in pursuing video production or broadcast journalism for a future career.
Our scoreboard is visible from a busy stretch of I-430, which makes it an ideal location for Central Arkansas companies looking to showcase their support for Mustang Athletics.
