CAC Names New Assistant Girls’ Basketball Coach

CAC Girls’ Basketball Head Coach Louis Bonner announced this week the hiring of Kelson Miller to serve as the program’s assistant coach beginning this fall.

Miller, a 2018 CAC graduate, returns to Mustang Mountain after teaching science at Ezell-Harding Christian School in Antioch, Tenn. Before working at Ezell-Harding, Miller taught science and served as an assistant coach for coed middle and high school soccer teams at Clarksville Christian School in Tennessee.

At CAC, Miller was no stranger to success. Playing under Dr. Carter Lambert, she won three State soccer championships (2016, 2017, 2018). Also in 2018, she was part of Coach Quattlebaum’s last State Championship.

“There is a complex relationship between tradition and change,” Miller said. “I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to learn and coach alongside Coach Bonner as we stand on tradition making changes along the way.”

After CAC, Miller played college soccer for Harding University, where she graduated with her bachelor’s in education.

“Many of my best memories include basketball on and off the court,” Miller said. “I’m excited to once again be a part of a sport I fell in love with in an environment that promotes both Christian character and a competitive spirit. I hope to be able to pour into these girls a love for the game as well as the joy that comes from being a part of a team.”
