Choir Director

Welcome to CAC Choir!

The Mission of the CAC Vocal Arts is to Glorify God through musical excellence and create a wonderful fellowship opportunity.
The Vocal Arts Program at CAC provides many opportunities for students to lift their voices in Praise to God while growing in their musical excellence. The program features the following:

High School Choir

Women’s Choir
(Sisters In Christ)

Men’s Choir
(Men of the Mountain)

7th Grade Choir

CAC Children’s Choir
(Grades 3-6 with the unchanged voice)

The Harper Studio
(One-on-one vocal instruction with Dr. Harper)

As active members of the Arkansas Choral Directors Association, students audition for All-Region and participate in regional choral performances. High School students who make the All-Region Choir then have the opportunity to audition for the All-State Choir.

Dr. Harper is also an active member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. This provides solo singers with an opportunity to compete in State, Regional and National events. While at these events, they get to hear some of the best singers in the nation and experience master classes given by some of the best teachers in the country.

All the choirs participate in the Mustang Mountain Christmas Concert as well as the Spring showcase. They participate in the Choral Performance Assessment (CPA) and the State Festival as well as the Silver Dollar City Choir Invitational each year.

Most importantly, however, we take time each year to share God’s Love with our community. During the Christmas Holidays, we schedule tours to assisted living facilities, shut-ins, community centers and family and friends. During this time, we sing of God’s Love, fellowship with people and give out hand-written cards of encouragement.

The Choirs at CAC are Christ centered and focus on loving God and one another through song.
We hope you will join us in this journey!
