Student MediaThe Pony Press Homecoming on the Mountain! Dec 11, 2024 3 Min Read Homecoming 2024 has officially come to an end, but it held many amazing moments throughout the week. Monday kicked off the big week with airport fit day. As students arrived at school, they got to check in with “TSA” and see the school’s new look for the week. On the same day, flight attendants (StuCo members) passed out an in-flight snack of pretzels to all our passengers at CAC. The week continued on Tuesday as we traveled to the wild west. We got to see a large variety of flannels, cowboy hats and boots! Wednesday we got to take a fun adventure on a safari. There were so many creative safari animal and explorer costumes to enjoy! Thursday came with the choice of adventuring to the breathtaking mountains or relaxing on a serene beach. Each day this week we even voted on best dressed from our daily theme and had many laughs watching and playing hilarious chapel games.Friday, the most important day of homecoming week, was a huge success. Our own CAC cheerleaders started the day off well by greeting our students as they drove into school where they were met at the doors by our talented band. Our strong school spirit showed in all our stylish purple and gold decked-out outfits. We concluded the day with our annual homecoming pep rally. At the pep rally we were introduced to our beautiful homecoming court maids and queen candidates. We also got to see amazing performances from color guard, the cheerleaders, and even a dance routine with our varsity football team led by the cheer squad as well. The football game concluded the week’s activities. The game started off with the yearly homecoming cookout followed by the crowning of our homecoming queen, who this year is Sadie Schimmel! The game against Riverview ended in a win with a score of 42-14. Story by Emma Milam Zoie Heagwood – Speak Up Zoie Heagwood is a sixth grader who was excited for Homecoming week on Mustang Mountain.
