Senior Night!
Cooper Bhanks, a football player, said his favorite memory this season was from a 7 on 7 tournament in Fayetteville. Cooper says, “It was fun competing with all the guys and going crazy whenever we’d make a big play. I remember beating some team from Houston and we lost our minds when we scored the game winner with a couple seconds left.”
For tennis, Sydney Dare shared her favorite memory from one of the last practices as a full team when the whole team played a big match together at the end. She says, “We all laughed with each other and just had a good time, which was a really nice way to remember the season as a whole, especially since it was one of the last practices with all the seniors.”
For Taylor Spencer, her favorite cheer season memory was from the annual cheer team sleepover. Each year this sleepover falls on the night before the first home football game. Taylor says, “It’s always a great way to get closer with everybody. Hide and seek in the dark kept us up most of the night but it was totally worth being tired the next day!”
Kindle Walker was a member of this year’s volleyball team, and she said that her favorite memory started when they were guaranteed No. 1 seed in the state tournament after winning the regional finals. She says, “Being able to make history with these girls is something I will forever be grateful for. The friendships made and being able to represent our school on a big stage has been a highlight of my senior year so far.”
