Speak Up! – Zachary Moore
Zachary Moore, a junior, is a new student at CAC this year. This summer he had a lot of fun and got to do many things during his months off before starting back to his new school. “This summer I was involved in a lot of extracurricular activities, mainly civil air patrol, also did a lot of Fastangs with the starting of the school year, and it was a lot of work at David’s burgers too,” he said. Zach is trying to go into the air force one day, so civil air patrol is one of Zach’s main activities, which he does every Tuesday. “[Civil Air Patrol] is an auxiliary to the Airforce, and there’s a lot of leadership, ground team, and if I chose to I could get my pilot’s license within about a year and a half or so.” Zach also enjoys traveling during summer. He said that his favorite travel spot he’s been to is South Padre Island, which is off the coast of Corpus Christi. There, he got to see some turtles hatch on the Gulf of Mexico. Zach also says he enjoyed summer lifting and hanging out with his friends before coming back to school. Additionally, he recounts his first day of school experience. “It was pretty awesome since I knew most of the guys on the football team… There’s also people here who go to my church, so I already had a pretty decent background with the people here and I knew a lot of them, so it was pretty cool in general. |
